What you will do
- Perform diagnostic PET/CT imaging procedures, including radiopharmaceutical and IV contrast injection, oral contrast administration, protocol setup, and patient positioning.
- Reconstruct, print, transfer, archive, retrieve, and track image data and films.
- Conduct daily scanner quality-control measures and report equipment malfunctions or service needs.
- Verify patient demographics, distribute reports, maintain patient files, and support scheduling and front-office workflow.
- Follow radiation and patient-safety standards, including recognizing and responding to IV contrast reactions.
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance, and QA.
Requirements
- Associate or bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited program; PET/CT certification is required for Radiologic Technology graduates.
- CNMT and/or ARRT (N) certification and applicable state licensure.
- Level 1: three to five years of nuclear medicine or PET experience preferred.
- Level 2: at least five years of nuclear medicine experience, including two years of PET or nuclear medical experience.
- Senior level: bachelor's degree and at least four years of nuclear medical PET experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, assist with patients and equipment, and work for extended periods standing or sitting in a clinical environment with potential exposure to ionizing radiation.
