2027 DMFI Fixed Income Intern

Location: New York, New York, United States; work in the New York office

Salary: $50,000–$80,000 annual base pay, prorated for the internship start and end dates

What you will do

• Build tools for interest rate swaps, bonds, and interest-rate volatility products.
• Partner with and support the DMFI Fixed Income Team.
• Analyze large datasets to identify market insights and actionable trade ideas.
• Apply quantitative and statistical techniques to support portfolio-manager decisions.
• Collaborate within a close-knit team on solutions addressing real-world investment challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s student pursuing mathematics, computer science, financial engineering, economics, or a related quantitative degree.
• Interest in macro and fixed income markets and investment strategies.
• Familiarity with Python, Excel, and dashboard generation.
• Strong mathematical and statistical modeling experience.
• Ability to analyze large datasets with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
