Engineering Manager (Hybrid Cloud Storage/Linux Systems)

Location: Serbia, with hybrid work and onsite presence at least 3 days per week in applicable locations, including Belgrade

What you will do

• Lead the hirify.global Files engineering team and establish engineering best practices.
• Own an engineering area of the hirify.global Files solution.
• Drive architecture and design decisions for replication and infrastructure.
• Work with engineering groups across different geographies.
• Hire and attract engineering talent for hirify.global teams.
• Help lead the hirify.global Files organization in Serbia and develop team culture.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience developing systems or distributed software.
• Technical leadership and a strong programming foundation in one or more of C, C++, Python, or Golang.
• Understanding of UNIX/Linux, system design, engineering fundamentals, and software design best practices.
• Passion for building high-performing engineering teams and culture.
