Data Center Security Engineer - WIDS (Wireless Intrusion Detection)

Location: Livingston, New Jersey, United States. The role requires up to 20% international travel for on-site project execution and after-hours support. Access to export-controlled information requires U.S. person status, eligibility without export authorization, or eligibility and reasonable likelihood of obtaining authorization.

Salary: $122,000–$179,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, maintain, and tune Bastille Networks WIDS platforms and RF sensor arrays across data centers, offices, and points of presence.
• Integrate wireless detection telemetry with Genetec Security Center using APIs, SDKs, syslog, or middleware.
• Detect and localize rogue access points, rogue cell towers, unauthorized wireless devices, Bluetooth/BLE and IoT threats, and other RF risks.
• Conduct RF site surveys and create sensor placement, coverage, and localization plans.
• Build alerting, escalation, inventory, change-management, and technical documentation processes for GSOC operations.
• Investigate false positives, coverage gaps, and detection failures while collaborating with network, security, SOC, and external vendor teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in physical security engineering, network engineering, wireless/RF security, or related technical infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on WIDS/WIPS and RF spectrum monitoring experience; Bastille Networks experience is strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of Genetec Security Center, including Directory, Archiver, Synergis, alarms, event-to-action workflows, and API/SDK integrations.
• Knowledge of wireless protocols, RF fundamentals, wireless attack vectors, Windows Server, TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, and SQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements for access to controlled information.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as GSEC, Security+, Network+, CCNA, CWNA/CWSP, CISSP, Bastille, Genetec, Axis, Hanwha, or Bosch certifications.
• Experience deploying WIDS in enterprise or AI/data center environments and integrating telemetry with PSIM, SIEM, or Genetec Security Center.
• Experience with Bastille integrations involving Axis, Splunk, Cisco, or Lenel, and familiarity with ISO 27001 or SOC 2.
