Strategic Projects Lead (AI)

Location: Mexico; remote working

Salary: $150,000–$200,000 per annum for full-time roles based in San Francisco or New York; negotiable for other states.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end delivery of complex AI projects and client programmes.
• Serve as the primary client contact and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate evolving client requirements into project scopes, delivery plans, success criteria, and practical solutions.
• Coordinate Sales, Operations, Product, and Engineering to align resources and resolve delivery challenges.
• Track quality, timelines, budgets, profitability, and other delivery metrics.
• Improve processes, tools, and ways of working for scalable AI project delivery.

Requirements

• 3–6+ years of experience managing complex client projects or programmes, ideally in AI/ML, human data, data services, or another technical environment.
• Understanding of AI technologies and the AI/ML development lifecycle, including data collection, annotation, evaluation, or validation.
• Strong client-facing communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to turn complex or ambiguous requirements into executable plans and successful outcomes.
• Hands-on problem-solving skills and the ability to identify risks and drive solutions.
• Experience managing KPIs, budgets, profitability, quality, and delivery performance.
