Product Manager Intern (AI/Robotics)

Location: Hybrid in Stuttgart, Germany; includes time at production sites

What you will do

• Support product roadmap development across hardware, software, AI, and field reliability.
• Help align priorities with commercial goals and technical constraints.
• Collaborate with R&D on training data strategies, model evaluation criteria, and deployment thresholds.
• Collect field failure data and translate operator observations and edge cases into product requirements.
• Support backlog management, dependency tracking, KPI monitoring, and coordination with engineering leads.
• Create product collateral and technical materials for customer-facing, commercial, and pre-sales discussions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
• Strong interest in robotics and AI, with the ability to learn quickly and contribute to complex technical projects.
• Familiarity with robot software stacks including ROS2, Zenoh, motion planning, control, and perception pipelines.
• Ability to engage with AI/ML teams on model evaluation and deployment criteria, and understand hardware-software co-design trade-offs.
• Ability to gather field feedback, draft requirements, and assist with PRDs and technical briefs.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to identifying risks and supporting cross-functional work.

Nice to have

• Background in warehouse automation, autonomous mobile robots, or logistics technology.
• Startup experience in an environment with undefined scope.
• Experience with WMS integration or fleet management.
• Awareness of EU Machinery Regulation, ISO 10218/15066, and AI Act obligations.
