Sr. Director, User Experience - Paze (Fintech)

Location: New York City, New York; hybrid work model. Candidates must independently be eligible to work in the United States for any employer at the date of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 USD per year in New York, NY, plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead the UX research strategy for Paze, Zelle, and identity products.
• Build and scale a team of UX research experts and promote a customer-obsessed research culture.
• Design and conduct foundational, formative, evaluative, generative, and strategic mixed-methods research.
• Partner with product, design, engineering, analytics, product marketing, and financial institution partners.
• Synthesize and communicate research findings to influence product strategy, roadmaps, and design decisions.
• Identify customer needs, competitive trends, and product opportunities across digital payments and identity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience conducting research.
• Experience leading and scaling product design or UX research teams.
• Proven experience leading impactful research programs in complex, data-intensive products and services.
• Experience with mixed methods, strategic research, and primary and secondary research.
• Background and drug screening are required, along with U.S. work eligibility.

Nice to have

• Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services or financial technology.
