Senior Manager, Operations (DRC)

Location: Onsite in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Candidates may be based in the DRC or willing to relocate to and be based in the DRC.

Base salary: $94,500 annually. Target bonus: 10%, approximately $9,450. Estimated total compensation at target: $103,950+.

What you will do

• Lead support services across HR, logistics, procurement, administration, and office management, including oversight of managers.
• Develop compliant and resilient procurement systems and manage fleet and logistics operations across provinces.
• Manage operational budgets, forecasting, donor reporting, budget tracking, and efficiency initiatives.
• Support HR strategy covering recruitment, training, performance management, and talent development.
• Design scalable systems, processes, digital tools, and AI opportunities for a larger country footprint.
• Maintain operational risk controls, coordinate audits and spot checks, and manage onboarding and operational knowledge resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in management, administration, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is an asset.
• At least six years of operations management experience, including transforming informal systems into structured, compliant, and scalable operations and overseeing managers.
• Strong financial, operational budget, risk register, audit, and donor compliance experience.
• Experience developing and coaching managers while retaining accountability for results.
• Digital fluency with Google Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Guru, Slack, and similar platforms, including team training.
• Professional proficiency in French and English is required, along with experience navigating DRC labor law and immigration requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Knowledge of Congolese Swahili or Lingala.
• Familiarity with international NGO standards and donor compliance frameworks.
