Software Engineer, Entry-Level (Graduation Date Winter 2026 - Spring/Summer 2027)

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: $94,500–$118,000 CAD per year, plus potential equity grants.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and ship technical solutions with support from mentors, managers, and team members.
• Contribute to product engineering work that improves experiences for merchants, delivery workers, and consumers.
• Build and maintain scalable backend architectures and user-facing web application functionality.
• Learn the systems and technologies behind the components you develop.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to solve customer and business problems.

Requirements

• Recent graduation from a Canadian university with a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field, with graduation between Fall 2026 and Summer 2027.
• At least two Software Engineering internships or equivalent work experience, with no more than two years of full-time experience.
• Experience working with databases, such as SQL.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Python, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience writing clean code, using version control, and creating unit tests.

Nice to have

• Experience improving system efficiency, scalability, and stability.
• Experience developing, releasing, and operating large-scale web applications.
• Experience with monitoring systems, live deployments, and continuous integration.
• Experience solving real-time technology problems, working with service-oriented architecture, writing APIs, or designing systems.
