Producer - Point Card System Development Department, Rakuten Payment, Inc. (Secondment) (Fintech)

Location: Tokyo, Japan. Work is based at NBF Shinagawa Tower. The position is employed by hirify.global Group, Inc. and seconded to hirify.global Payment, Inc.

What you will do

• Manage development projects for hirify.global Point Card services.
• Coordinate business and engineering teams as well as internal and external stakeholders.
• Define service requirements and create system documentation and designs.
• Plan, develop, maintain, and improve the hirify.global Point Card core system.
• Oversee development and improvement of user-facing iPhone and Android applications.
• Contribute to the planning, operation, and scaling of payment and loyalty-point services.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in system development for open-source systems.
• Experience creating requirements definitions and design documentation for open-source systems.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to understand algorithms to a certain extent.
• Japanese: Advanced level required.
• English: Intermediate level required.

• IT experience in upstream processes for companies with Japanese business practices.
• Experience developing, operating, and maintaining mission-critical systems.
