Associate Lecturer - Chemistry

Location: Gold Coast campus, Southport, Queensland, Australia. The role is part-time and includes a mix of on-campus and work-from-home options; work at other campuses or sites may occasionally be required.

Salary: AUD 82,704–111,219 per annum full-time equivalent base salary, plus 17% superannuation. Total full-time equivalent package: AUD 96,764–130,126 per annum.

What you will do

• Lead and support undergraduate chemistry workshops and laboratory classes, particularly in organic and analytical chemistry.
• Deliver chemistry lectures when required under the guidance of course convenors or academic leads.
• Prepare, facilitate, and review practical and workshop teaching materials.
• Support safe, effective teaching aligned with course requirements and learning outcomes.
• Use student-centred, technology-enhanced, problem-oriented, and authentic learning approaches.
• Collaborate with course convenors, technical staff, and academic supervisors.

Requirements

• Degree in chemistry or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated knowledge and capability in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to foster positive, collaborative relationships.
• Unrestricted working rights in Australia are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
