Data Science and ML Engineer (AI)

Location: Berlin, Germany; on-site/hybrid and based in Berlin

Salary: €70,000–€110,000 annually

What you will do

• Build and ship production-grade data science and machine learning systems end-to-end.
• Transform messy raw data into deployed models and production capabilities.
• Use agentic AI coding tools daily to accelerate development and establish high output standards.
• Operate autonomously in an ambiguous, rapidly changing zero-to-one environment.
• Work with engineering and product to translate quantitative insights into business impact.
• Ramp up quickly in a new domain and contribute meaningfully from the first weeks.

Requirements

• 5–10 or more years of experience in a technical or engineering role with demonstrated output.
• Quantitative degree or equivalent rigor in mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, or a related PhD-level field.
• Daily hands-on experience with agentic AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor is required.
• Experience as an early startup employee, ideally among the first 15 hires.
• Strong quantitative ability, engineering judgment, autonomy, and a bias toward shipping.
• Based in Berlin or genuinely willing to relocate to Berlin.
