HDD Application Engineering (AE) Intern

What you will do

• Conduct and support qualification and benchmarking for enterprise HDD products, including in-system performance, general performance, vibration, acoustics, and power consumption.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for processing and analyzing large volumes of performance and qualification data.
• Participate in customer qualification programs, technical collaborations, issue investigations, failure analysis, troubleshooting, and solution validation.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers and storage systems while supporting test-bed deployment and hardware integration.
• Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support customer success.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Automatic Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Science, Information Engineering, or an equivalent science or engineering field.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking, a hands-on mindset, problem-solving ability, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills.
• Effective communication in both Mandarin and English is required.
• Basic understanding of PC, workstation, and server hardware architecture, as well as HDD and SSD storage devices.
• Experience with Linux or similar command-line environments and familiarity with at least one of Python, Shell, C/C++, or Java.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience assembling, configuring, or troubleshooting computer systems.
• Experience with storage performance testing tools such as FIO or IOMeter.
• Artificial Intelligence (AI) project or professional experience.
