Software Developer - Wind Turbine Control Systems (C++)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain C++ control software for Linux-based embedded systems used in wind turbines.
• Clarify requirements with cross-functional stakeholders and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Implement unit, integration, and acceptance testing using strong CI/CD practices and AI-assisted programming.
• Refactor and improve existing code to maintain wind turbine fleet performance.
• Work in agile SCRUM and SAFe teams and contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Academic degree in IT, software, electronics, computer science, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional C/C++ software development experience.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, software testing, continuous integration, and embedded control mechanisms.
• Interest in mechanical control domains such as aerodynamics, mechanics, hydraulics, or power electronics.
• Familiarity with real-time protocols such as ProfiNet, Git, and Jira.
• Structured communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on safe, high-quality software.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating hardware and software for renewable energy or other safety-critical systems.
• Experience with innovation initiatives such as code camps and ideation events.
