What you will do

• Develop and own the global procurement strategy for medical equipment, including blood laboratory analysers, ultrasound systems, cardiovascular diagnostic equipment, ECG devices, and ancillary medical hardware.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing, including market analysis, RFPs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract awards.
• Manage strategic relationships with medical device manufacturers and distributors, including contract lifecycle, performance monitoring, renewals, and terminations.
• Drive value through multi-year supply agreements, bulk purchasing, direct manufacturer partnerships, and co-development or co-investment opportunities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Clinical teams on equipment performance, quality, and regulatory requirements, including support for the Gen 2 equipment programme and NPI activities.
• Manage purchase orders, international shipping, customs clearance, last-mile delivery, procurement reporting, dashboards, and category playbooks.

Requirements

• Proven strategic procurement experience in medical devices, healthcare technology, or life sciences.
• Direct experience procuring capital medical equipment such as blood laboratory systems, ultrasound systems, or cardiovascular diagnostic equipment.
• Strong understanding of source-to-contract activities in regulated environments, including EU MDR, ISO 13485, and FDA requirements related to supplier qualification and device procurement.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships with global medical device OEMs and delivering measurable cost savings and contract value.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ERP systems.
• Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally as required.

Nice to have

• Medical, biomedical, or clinical sciences background or formal training.
• CIPS or equivalent professional procurement certification.
