TL;DR
Subcontract Administrator (Defense Aerospace): Managing the acquisition of technically complex or commercially risky goods and services for defense and security programs with an accent on compliant procurement, supplier performance, and subcontract documentation. Focus on FAR and DFARS compliance, cost and price analysis, negotiation planning, and maintaining records for successful Contractor Purchasing System Reviews.
Location: Tampa, United States; onsite office environment. Only U.S. citizens are eligible due to U.S. Government contract requirements.

What you will do
- Prepare and execute subcontract plans, requests for information, requests for quotes or proposals, and subcontract awards.
- Develop and manage subcontract evaluations, analyses, negotiation plans, and supporting documentation.
- Apply compliant acquisition practices aligned with FAR, DFARS, Public Law, and company policies.
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor cost, performance, schedules, and contractual compliance.
- Coordinate with internal resources, program stakeholders, customers, and engineering teams to define requirements and meet program objectives.
- Maintain subcontract files and records in support of successful Contractor Purchasing System Reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Operations Management, or a related field, or at least nine years of subcontract administration or management experience.
- In-depth understanding of procurement processes in defense and aerospace environments.
- Experience with FAR Part 15 cost and price analysis, including supplier schedule and technical changes.
- Experience with subcontract management and compliant file documentation.
- Understanding of program management budgeting and scheduling tools, plus the ability to assess performance changes using basic measurement standards.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Department of Defense Personal Security Clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, TINA, CAS, DPAS, and debarment requirements.
- At least 10 years of federal contracting experience.
- Experience collaborating with engineering on requirements definition.
- Strong experience engaging internal customers and stakeholders.
