What you will do
- Perform moderate-complexity clinical laboratory testing according to approved SOPs, CLIA, and CAP requirements.
- Prepare, process, analyze, verify, and document patient specimens and results with full traceability.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments, including the Abbott Alinity system.
- Perform QC activities, manage reagents, review trends, and escalate quality risks or abnormal findings.
- Maintain inspection-ready standards through accurate documentation, safety compliance, proficiency testing, audits, and inspections.
- Collaborate with clinical, operations, and technical teams while supporting peer knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in a moderate- or high-complexity clinical laboratory.
- Active MLS(ASCP) generalist certification.
- Board-certified specialist certification such as SC(ASCP), SH(ASCP), or SI(ASCP) in clinical chemistry, hematology, or immunology.
- Hands-on experience with clinical chemistry and immunology testing.
- Experience operating and troubleshooting the Abbott Alinity system.
- On-site availability for the Washington D.C. role; the description also identifies the Miami clinic lab as the work setting.
