TL;DR
Sr Analyst I Finance Business Partner (ASC 842/ASC 606): Leading financial close, planning, forecasting, balance sheet monitoring, and business advisory for DXC accounts with an accent on lease accounting, revenue recognition, and margin management. Focus on translating ASC 842 and ASC 606 requirements into forecasts and profitability metrics, managing accounting interdependencies across Offerings and Connect structures, and driving margin improvement.

Location: Bangalore, India; in-person collaboration is prioritized.

What you will do

  • Complete month-end close activities accurately and on schedule according to account and reporting calendars.
  • Prepare financial reporting that reflects business performance and complies with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Lead strategic planning, operating plan, and forecasting cycles in collaboration with account-level business stakeholders.
  • Monitor balance sheet accounts, identify risks, and drive issues through resolution.
  • Translate lease, hardware, software, revenue, and transition accounting requirements into forecasts, pricing models, and profitability metrics.
  • Partner with CP, AE, and Finance leadership on business advisory and margin improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience as a hands-on finance professional.
  • Strong understanding of lessor accounting under ASC 842.
  • Knowledge of hardware and software accounting, revenue recognition, cost flow, overtime, and point-in-time accounting.
  • Understanding of ASC 606 reporting, operational backlog, and related concepts and intricacies.
  • Knowledge of transition and transformation accounting, including upfront, overtime, and amortization treatment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for managing cross-functional relationships and deliverables.
