Technical Team Lead - Machine Learning

Salary: $165,000–$205,000 per year

What you will do

• Architect and build Lux, an agentic orchestration and integration platform connecting data and workflows across internal systems.
• Own the technical architecture, product vision, roadmap, prioritization, and scope boundaries.
• Hire, manage, mentor, and provide hands-on technical guidance to the Lux engineering team.
• Establish sprint, on-call, incident response, code review, and technical development practices.
• Oversee machine learning solutions across problem scoping, data preparation, model optimization, and application delivery.
• Ensure observability, stability, scalability, security, performance, and cost effectiveness while partnering with product and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience with object-oriented programming such as Java or Python, ML/AI frameworks, libraries, data structures, and data modeling techniques.
• At least 3 years of software development experience building commercial and machine learning applications.
• Experience across the full machine learning application lifecycle, from problem mapping and data gathering to model performance optimization.
• Project or team leadership experience with strong interpersonal skills.
• Working experience with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.

Nice to have

• Experience designing orchestration layers for agentic or multi-system integrations.
• Exposure to Bloomberg data products, enterprise data ecosystems, or the financial services industry.
