Specialist Data Analyst (MDM)

What you will do

• Analyze and document end-to-end data flows, mappings, and dependencies across systems and data platforms.
• Reverse-engineer legacy data processes and create transformation specifications for migration to modern cloud platforms.
• Drive data stewardship initiatives and establish data quality standards across systems and teams.
• Design data models and data flows for efficient processing and support data migration analysis.
• Partner with engineering, product, business, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Provide insights and recommendations while evaluating emerging generative AI tools and practices.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience designing and analyzing data flows in pipelines and mapping data across platforms.
• Experience creating data transformation specifications, data lineage, ontologies, reference data, data models, and data transformations.
• Strong knowledge of commercial data domains, data profiling, fill-rate analysis, and attribute distribution comparisons.
• Very strong SQL skills with GCP data stores, including BigQuery and Bigtable; Snowflake experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of data quality frameworks and experience producing data quality dashboards and actionable insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, agile, API, and cloud-platform experience, including JIRA, Confluence, GitHub, JSON, XML, Postman, and REST.

Nice to have

• Mainframe knowledge for reviewing legacy datasets.
• Experience with Snowflake.
