Software Enabling and Optimization Engineer (Android): Developing, integrating, and debugging Android platform and system software across Android Framework, HAL, BSP, kernel, firmware, and platform layers with an accent on platform enablement and cross-stack investigation. Focus on solving complex integration issues, accelerating technical resolution, improving product readiness, and collaborating with platform, firmware, silicon, and customer teams.

Location: On-site in Seoul, South Korea

hirify.global's global engineering organization develops and enables platform, firmware, silicon, and system software technologies.

What you will do

  • Develop, integrate, debug, and enable Android platform and system software.
  • Investigate issues across Android Framework, HAL, BSP, kernel, firmware, and platform software.
  • Collaborate with Android, platform, firmware, and silicon engineering teams to resolve complex technical problems.
  • Accelerate issue resolution and improve product readiness through hands-on engineering work.
  • Collaborate directly with customers when resolving complex technical issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Android platform development, BSP development, Linux platform software, embedded systems software, or related system software engineering.
  • Strong Android platform development and debugging experience.
  • Fluent Korean and sufficient English communication skills for technical discussions with globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Ability to independently investigate and solve complex technical problems.
