GEDSI Manager – Aus4A (Climate Change Adaptation): Leading implementation of the program’s GEDSI twin-track strategy across climate change adaptation activities in the Mekong Delta with an accent on GEDSI mainstreaming, partner collaboration, and capacity building. Focus on conducting GEDSI analyses, developing action plans and training materials, coordinating with grantees and technical teams, and contributing to program reporting.
Location: Hanoi or Can Tho, Vietnam; local nationals only. The role includes periodic travel to project target sites.

What you will do
- Lead implementation of the Aus4Adaptation GEDSI twin-track strategy across program activities.
- Review workplans and activity designs to identify opportunities for GEDSI mainstreaming.
- Conduct GEDSI assessments with grantees and partners and develop targeted action plans.
- Provide guidance, training, and capacity building on gender, disability, and safeguarding policies.
- Develop communications products, success stories, lessons learned, and program reporting inputs.
- Coordinate with technical and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning teams on data collection and reporting.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in gender studies, sociology, human rights, law, climate change, development, or a related field.
- Relevant mid-career experience in GEDSI mainstreaming, social analysis, social development planning, and implementation.
- Experience conducting GEDSI analyses, developing workplans, and monitoring safeguarding policy implementation.
- Experience working with government agencies, development partners, civil society, private-sector, and community stakeholders.
- Professional fluency in English and Vietnamese, written and spoken.
- Valid work rights in Vietnam are required; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience applying GEDSI approaches in the climate change sector.
- Knowledge of DFAT GEDSI policies and frameworks.
- Experience in climate change, resilience, natural resource management, environmental protection, or related development sectors.
