Supply Chain Coordinator (Procurement and Logistics): Coordinating country-level procurement, inventory, construction, asset, pharmaceutical, logistics, and fleet operations in Uganda with an accent on donor compliance, operational planning, and team leadership. Focus on developing supply chain strategies and SOPs, managing dispersed field teams, optimizing warehouses and fleet operations, and ensuring effective delivery under emergency response conditions.

Location: Kampala, Uganda; requires travel to remote field offices and work under hardship conditions.

What you will do

  • Design, plan, execute, and monitor country-level supply chain activities supporting humanitarian programs.
  • Develop procurement, sourcing, warehousing, transport, staffing, distribution, and training plans for active and pipeline grants.
  • Lead procurement strategy, bidding, contract execution, market analysis, negotiations, vendor management, and procurement reporting.
  • Oversee inventory, warehouse, asset, pharmaceutical, fleet, transport, and construction management across country and field offices.
  • Maintain compliance with IRC and donor regulations, identify supply chain risks and fraud indicators, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Recruit, supervise, evaluate, train, and develop multidisciplinary supply chain teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Procurement and Logistics or a relevant field.
  • At least 8 years of progressive supply chain experience, including 3 years at a similar level of responsibility.
  • At least 5 years of progressive people management or leadership experience with multidisciplinary or geographically dispersed teams.
  • Experience with ERP environments, data analysis, supply chain policies and SOPs, donor guidelines, budgeting, and financial management.
  • Strong training, mentoring, communication, analytical, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; ability to travel to remote field offices is required.
