Safety Associate (Pharmacovigilance)

Location: Durham, North Carolina, United States of America; hybrid work with on-site presence approximately one day per week and occasional travel.

Annual base pay range: $44,900–$112,100, with the actual offer dependent on qualifications, experience, location, and schedule.

What you will do

• Review, assess, process, and distribute safety data received from internal and external sources.
• Perform pharmacovigilance activities, including collecting and tracking adverse event and endpoint information.
• Determine initial or follow-up event status, enter and code adverse events and products, and write case narratives.
• Create, maintain, and track safety cases according to project plans and timelines.
• Identify quality issues, escalate challenges to senior team members, and provide feedback during project meetings.
• Complete assigned training and mentor new team members when requested.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with a scientific, healthcare, or allied life sciences background.
• 1–1.5 years of relevant experience.
• Good knowledge of medical terminology and working knowledge of the Argus safety database.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web-based applications.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining deliverable quality.
• Ability to work in a hybrid capacity with on-site presence in Durham approximately one day per week.
