Annual base pay: $128,000–$192,000

What you will do
- Manage component lifecycles across hardware platforms, monitoring PCNs, NRND, and EOL risks.
- Develop and execute obsolescence mitigation strategies, including last-time buys, redesigns, and alternate components.
- Lead resolution of component-related production and field issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify alternate components using form, fit, function, electrical, and reliability analysis.
- Collaborate with quality, design, manufacturing, supply chain, sourcing teams, contract manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Maintain component lifecycle data, AML/AVL records, qualification documentation, and compliance information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–7+ years of experience in component engineering, sustaining engineering, or hardware development.
- Strong knowledge of semiconductors, passives, connectors, and power devices.
- Experience managing component lifecycle risks and executing mitigation strategies.
- Ability to independently evaluate component equivalency and make technical decisions.
- Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with networking, telecom, server, or high-reliability hardware systems.
- Familiarity with Agile, Windchill, SiliconExpert, Z2Data, or IHS.
- Experience with ServiceNow, contract manufacturers, and global suppliers.
- Knowledge of reliability engineering and failure analysis methodologies.
- Exposure to high-mix, long-lifecycle products.
