Senior ML Engineer (Machine Learning)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; office-first with the possibility to work remotely for 52 days per year

What you will do

• Develop machine learning solutions for the Marketing Automation team.
• Automate external marketing activities, including advertising purchases.
• Optimize internal marketing through push notifications and email communications.
• Analyze raw data, formulate hypotheses, create models, run experiments, and deploy results into production.
• Build and maintain infrastructure and tools supporting effective marketing.
• Develop and debug distributed, high-load applications and write testable code.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of fundamental algorithms and data structures, including implementation with standard libraries.
• Experience developing and debugging distributed, high-load applications in at least one programming language.
• Industry experience in machine learning, including linear models, GBDT, DNN, statistics, and end-to-end ML development.
• Experience with the marketing automation technology stack: Spark, Scala, Python, Airflow, and Go.

Nice to have

• Experience developing recommendation or search systems.
• Experience training neural network models.
• Experience with Spark, Cassandra, Mongo, or Kafka data sources.
• Knowledge of Go.
