What you will do

  • Design, build, and optimize real-time embedded software for custom microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms.
  • Own gimbal control algorithms and contribute to GNC software for next-generation multi-axis systems and sensor integrations.
  • Develop PC-based diagnostic tools for telemetry, calibration, friction analysis, and motor/IMU communications.
  • Prepare and lead flight tests, conduct laboratory experiments, and analyze post-flight telemetry.
  • Define rigorous software protocols and architecture in collaboration with Software, GNC, Mechanical, Hardware, and Test Bench teams.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience delivering complex embedded or robotic software.
  • Strong experience with C/C++, microcontrollers, embedded Linux, real-time constraints, and low-level debugging.
  • Solid understanding of robotics, linear algebra, quaternions, matrices, attitude, pose, reference/setpoint concepts, and estimation.
  • Familiarity with GNC frameworks and robotic architectures, including autopilots for drones, rovers, or autonomous vehicles.
  • Experience navigating and improving large-scale robotic codebases, with a rigorous approach to calibration, diagnostics, friction, and telemetry analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines and participate in lab and field testing.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on autonomous defense systems with real-world mission impact.
  • Operate in a demanding environment emphasizing rigor, ownership, excellence, and execution.
  • Balance software development with hands-on laboratory work and field test evaluations every few weeks.
