What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize backend-heavy solutions for the payments platform
• Develop and maintain complex integrations with banks, PSPs, and third-party providers
• Participate in full feature lifecycle from concept to release within agile Scrum cycles
• Contribute to continuous evolution of fintech payments solution adapting to market needs
• Collaborate with design, product, and business teams to align features with user needs
• Identify opportunities to improve technical approaches, performance, and development processes

Requirements

• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal
• 5+ years professional web development experience with 3+ years in Node.js and React
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, Apollo, Material UI
• Experience with high-load SQL/NoSQL databases, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and microservices
• Knowledge of TDD, automated testing, Git workflows, RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB, MySQL
• Advanced English skills (written and spoken)

Nice to have

• Experience in Fintech or payment systems
• Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments
• Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD and cloud deployment
