What you will do
- Design, implement, and optimize backend-heavy solutions for the payments platform
- Develop and maintain complex integrations with banks, PSPs, and third-party providers
- Participate in full feature lifecycle from concept to release within agile Scrum cycles
- Contribute to continuous evolution of fintech payments solution adapting to market needs
- Collaborate with design, product, and business teams to align features with user needs
- Identify opportunities to improve technical approaches, performance, and development processes
Requirements
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lisbon, Portugal
- 5+ years professional web development experience with 3+ years in Node.js and React
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Next.js, Nest.js, Apollo, Material UI
- Experience with high-load SQL/NoSQL databases, REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and microservices
- Knowledge of TDD, automated testing, Git workflows, RabbitMQ, Redis, MongoDB, MySQL
- Advanced English skills (written and spoken)

- Experience in Fintech or payment systems
- Exposure to Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Familiarity with DevOps practices including CI/CD and cloud deployment
