AI-Native Product Design Lead

Location: Hybrid in Kyiv or Lviv, Ukraine

What you will do

• Own the product experience across mission planning, simulation, execution, real-time monitoring, and post-mission review.
• Translate operational and technical requirements into information architecture, workflows, interaction models, and interface states.
• Create sketches, user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and functional prototypes using Figma and AI-assisted coding tools.
• Design high-stakes workflows for error prevention, situational awareness, degraded connectivity, recovery, alerting, and operator control of autonomous behavior.
• Conduct research with operators, customers, and field teams, turning feedback and product data into design decisions.
• Establish the design function, including design direction, reusable patterns, component libraries, review processes, and AI-native practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product, UX, interaction design, or design engineering for complex digital products.
• Portfolio showing multiple end-to-end product or platform design cycles, from discovery through implementation and post-release iteration.
• Experience designing complex, state-heavy workflows used for consequential decisions.
• Strong knowledge of usability, interaction design, information architecture, user research, and scalable design systems.
• Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI-assisted development tools for building functional interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Ukrainian, plus readiness to handle sensitive defense information under strict operational-security practices.

Nice to have

• Design engineering or frontend development background.
• Experience with command-and-control, GIS, simulation, industrial-control, robotics, aviation, automotive, or other real-time operational systems.
• Experience in defense technology, autonomous systems, drones/UAVs, hardware-integrated products, or safety-critical research.
• Experience with prompt engineering, AI-built prototypes, code-based design explorations, or shipped AI-assisted products.
• Strategy game experience and startup or fast-scaling product-company experience.
