Location: Fully remote, based in the United States
Salary: $180,000β$190,000 base salary per year

What you will do
- Drive the multi-quarter technical direction of the ELT platform and balance strategic investments with pragmatic delivery.
- Write and establish standards for design documents, architecture decisions, and technical reviews.
- Break down ambiguous initiatives, translate business goals into platform strategy, and shepherd work through multiple engineers.
- Identify scaling constraints, systemic risks, reliability failure modes, and cross-project tradeoffs.
- Mentor engineers at all levels and provide deep feedback on pull requests and designs.
- Lead complex incident response and define follow-up work to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software or data engineering experience with increasing-scope technical leadership.
- Deep expertise in SQL, Python, Airflow or a comparable orchestrator, dbt or a comparable transformation framework, and a cloud data warehouse.
- Experience solving scale problems across warehouse, data, and infrastructure layers.
- Experience with technical roadmaps, architectural design documents, cross-functional collaboration, mentoring, testing, observability, security, and incident response.
- Ability to handle protected health information according to HIPAA requirements and set team-wide standards for compliant data handling.
- Must be based in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
Nice to have
- Experience with HL7, FHIR, EHR integrations, value-based care, PACE, or Medicare and Medicaid populations.
- Snowflake certifications such as SnowPro Core or SnowPro Architect.
- Experience with Kubernetes, production reliability standards, MongoDB, and observability tools such as Grafana, Loki, or Prometheus.
- Experience shaping hiring, leveling, organizational design, or AI and machine-learning applications in healthcare analytics.
