Translation & Localization Specialist – Korean (Bangkok Based) (Travel Localization): Monitoring and improving Korean localization across travel products and customer-facing content with an accent on translation quality, cultural adaptation, and localization asset management. Focus on reviewing product content, managing vendors and urgent translation requests, improving AI prompt engineering, and maintaining an LQA score above 90%.

What you will do
- Monitor translated content quality across websites, hotel content, press releases, travel articles, promotional emails, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with internal teams, translation vendors, and freelancers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain style guides, glossaries, translation memories, and other localization assets.
- Review products for inconsistencies and localization issues, lead arbitration reviews, and escalate recurring problems.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage translation vendors and freelancers, including invoicing.
- Improve AI prompt engineering, support content experimentation, and provide cultural and linguistic guidance for Korean markets.
Requirements
- Native-level Korean with excellent writing, editing, proofreading, grammar, tone, and style skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Linguistics, Translation, Korean Language, Literature, or a related field.
- Professional translation and localization experience with CAT tools such as MemoQ or similar platforms.
- Strong English proficiency required for understanding source content and adapting it for Korean-speaking audiences.
- Excellent internet research, organization, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

- Experience in travel, hospitality, or e-commerce, especially with customer-facing or marketing content.
