Senior Manager Public Relations – Southern Europe (Healthcare)

Location: Madrid, Spain; the role supports Spain, Italy, and other relevant Southern European markets and requires travel as needed.

What you will do

• Lead press relations and organic social media activities across Southern Europe.
• Co-create public relations campaigns, press materials, digital assets, and thought leadership events with local markets and cross-functional partners.
• Identify and promote brand, business, clinical, patient, and employer stories to public audiences.
• Build relationships with journalists, influencers, and industry stakeholders and serve as the company spokesperson.
• Manage senior management interactions with the media and coordinate crisis communications and reputation management.
• Develop PR metrics, report campaign effectiveness, assess agency capabilities, and manage resources and ROI.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of public relations and/or marketing communications experience.
• Strong PR strategy, planning, media pitching, press relations, and organic social media experience.
• Experience as a media spokesperson and media chaperone, including crisis communication and reputation management.
• Strong project management, budget management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Nice to have

• Additional language skills, such as Italian.
• Previous healthcare PR experience combining agency and corporate experience.
