What you will do
- Produce original news and current affairs content for News Korean radio and digital platforms.
- Present content in Korean in live or recorded formats.
- Research, gather, write, assemble, edit, and deliver radio, video, and digital outputs using relevant equipment and technology.
- Develop story ideas and apply editorial judgment to produce accurate and impartial journalism.
- Use audience research and metric analytics to shape content for Korean-speaking audiences.
- Adapt, translate, and curate radio, digital, and video content while following editorial, legal, contractual, and copyright requirements.
Requirements
- Professional Korean-language production experience and full command of written and spoken Korean.
- Complete comprehension of written and spoken English and effective communication skills.
- Significant recent journalism experience, particularly covering North and South Korea, East Asia, and global news and current affairs.
- Excellent knowledge of radio formats, social media platforms, and digital video.
- Strong planning, organisation, writing, translation, and deadline-management skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability when working under pressure and responding to changing priorities.
Nice to have
- Good on-camera presence and experience with social media live broadcasts.
- Knowledge of data analytics for shaping content for different audience groups.
