Decision Analytics Associate Consultant (Tokyo, Osaka)

Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan or Osaka-shi, Japan; hybrid working with work-from-home and on-site presence at clients or hirify.global offices for the majority of the week. Travel is required for client-facing work.

What you will do

• Develop and apply advanced statistical models to address dynamic business issues.
• Use analytical techniques and data to support client and internal decision-making.
• Design custom analyses in R, Tableau, SAS, Visual Basic, and Excel.
• Synthesize and communicate analytical findings through oral and written presentations.
• Manage project deliverables, provide status updates, implement solutions, and build client relationships.
• Advance problem-solving capabilities and guide and mentor Associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline, with strong quantitative and analytical coursework in areas such as statistics, data science, econometrics, operations research, applied mathematics, management science, or engineering.
• At least 4 years of relevant post-collegiate experience; a PhD may substitute for work experience.
• Fluency in both English and Japanese.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, self-discipline, and a quality-focused mindset.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrate empathy and adaptability, and apply a client-first problem-solving approach.
• Must possess or be able to obtain work authorization for Japan.
