Instrument And Control Technician (Power Plant Instrumentation)

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States; travel to other sites may be required.

Starting base pay: $62.81 per hour.

Provides electricity and natural gas products and services to customers across eight Western and Midwestern states.

What you will do

• Install, maintain, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, configure, and repair power plant instrumentation and process control systems, including CEMS.
• Perform operational and regulatory testing and prepare, review, and submit supporting records.
• Specify equipment and initiate purchase requisitions.
• Maintain accurate technical records and perform equipment and system upgrades for plant optimization.
• Train apprentices and respond to scheduled or emergency back-shift callouts for unsupervised work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two-year vocational certificate in electronics or instrumentation, or approved equivalent training or experience.
• NICET Level II certification or an approved equivalent.
• At least four years of power plant instrumentation or equivalent experience, including completed approved apprenticeship training or equivalent.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic or industrial instrumentation at the component level.
• Scheduled and emergency overtime are required; a skills assessment may be part of the interview process.
