What you will do
- Develop and execute the EMEA Medical Affairs strategy for the Surgery and Mentor portfolios.
- Lead the EMEA Medical Affairs organization through talent development, capability building, and resource prioritization.
- Direct regional evidence generation, clinical research priorities, product lifecycle support, innovation, and new product introductions.
- Lead medical governance and ensure compliance with regulatory, ethical, safety, and healthcare standards.
- Provide medical leadership for the Robotics & Digital portfolio across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC.
- Build relationships with healthcare professionals, scientific leaders, professional societies, and academic institutions to generate actionable medical insights.
Requirements
- MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent physician qualification with demonstrated clinical expertise.
- At least 5 years of direct patient care experience.
- Experience developing and executing regional or global Medical Affairs strategies across the product lifecycle.
- Proven people leadership and experience influencing senior stakeholders in complex global matrix organizations.
- Strong expertise in clinical research, evidence generation, scientific data evaluation, medical governance, compliance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%.
Nice to have
- At least 7 years of progressive experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Research, or a related MedTech function.
- Medical Device or MedTech experience, preferably in surgery.
- Experience with surgical, robotic, digital, or interventional technologies.
- Experience leading regional Medical Affairs organizations across multiple countries.
- MBA or another advanced business qualification.
