Lead Software Developer (Golang)

Location: Remote in Poland

Salary: 270,000–285,000 PLN annually

What you will do

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of 2–3 engineers through design reviews, pairing, and feedback.
• Design and develop backend services using Golang.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for high-performance applications and large datasets.
• Set backend technical direction for CRM Ops and XLerate, unblocking delivery and improving engineering quality.
• Build CRM capabilities for segmentation, automations, workflows, marketing campaigns, and reporting.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, product managers, testers, and partner squads using Agile, Lean, DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a general-purpose programming language, including at least 2 years with Golang.
• Experience owning complex backend features or services, with prior senior or lead-level ownership preferred.
• Experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team.
• Strong SQL and backend development skills, with the ability to work with large datasets and data-intensive workflows.
• Understanding of Agile, Lean, Continuous Delivery, quality, and testing principles.
• Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to partner effectively with Product.

Nice to have

• Deep experience with MySQL performance tuning at scale.
• Experience with event-driven architectures or high-throughput APIs.
• CRM, marketing automation, or segmentation domain experience.
• Experience partnering across communications and automation squads.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
