TL;DR
Fire & Life Safety Specialist Senior (NFPA): Developing complex fire protection and life safety designs for data centers, commercial environments, and other facilities with an accent on fire suppression, detection systems, occupancy calculations, and code compliance. Focus on leading Fire & Life Safety projects, producing CAD drawings, and solving design challenges under NFPA and international building and fire codes.

What you will do

  • Develop complex fire protection designs for fire suppression, fire alarm and detection, and alternate extinguishing systems.
  • Create life safety designs covering occupancy calculations, travel distances, code compliance drawings, and passive fire protection systems.
  • Prepare complex technical drawings using computer-aided design software.
  • Lead projects focused on Fire & Life Safety.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years of Fire & Life Safety design experience in systems design or regulatory enforcement.
  • Previous experience with an architectural or engineering consulting firm, or in a role specifically focused on Fire & Life Safety.
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards and International Building and Fire Codes.
