Manager, AI Engineering

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka; hybrid. Travel of up to 50% may be required.

What you will do

• Advise prospects, customers, and partners on data science, machine learning, and GenAI solutions.
• Own account-related technical work, including planning, project management, and solution design.
• Translate business requirements into machine learning workflows and systems from data ingestion through model deployment.
• Develop and demonstrate AI, GenAI, and machine learning solutions, applications, and products.
• Lead proofs of value and proofs of concept while supporting successful customer delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and coach machine learning and AI engineers to support their professional growth.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant sales engineering experience in GenAI/ML in a customer-facing pre-sales role.
• Bachelor’s, master’s, or higher degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, statistics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Strong Python knowledge and familiarity with data munging and machine learning libraries.
• In-depth understanding of machine learning algorithms, GenAI/ML applications, and end-to-end ML pipeline deployment.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud architectures and working knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Excellent communication skills, self-directed working style, and availability for travel of up to 50%.
