What you will do

• Manage news photographers/editors and MMJs, including staffing, training, and performance evaluations.
• Make hiring, evaluation, and promotion decisions for photography staff.
• Maintain the station's photography technology and equipment.
• Train, coach, and mentor photographers and MMJs.
• Assign projects and ensure logistics and shot requirements meet established standards.
• Plan photography needs for live news and station remotes and perform photographer duties as required.

Requirements

• Technical degree in digital electronics, broadcasting, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluency in English is required.
• At least five years of experience as a television broadcasting photographer, including three years in a leadership role.
• Experience setting performance standards, monitoring performance, establishing objectives, and coaching staff.
• Experience with video recording equipment, camera technology, satellite trucks, computers, and MS Office.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
