What you will do

  • Manage crop production research in controlled environments, including greenhouses, growth rooms, chambers, and growtainers.
  • Operate and program greenhouse control and building management systems, including Hoogendoorn IIVO, Heliospectra HelioCORE, Microgrow ProComm II, and JCI Metasys.
  • Design and install irrigation systems and nutrient injectors; operate hydroponic systems and monitor nutrient parameters including EC, pH, and TDS.
  • Troubleshoot low-voltage controls, HVAC equipment, water loops, environmental systems, and complex greenhouse issues.
  • Supervise CEA facilities coordinators, assign work, conduct training, manage SOPs, and evaluate performance.
  • Coordinate research projects, inventory, vendors, contractors, safety, security, compliance, reporting, demonstrations, and facility maintenance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience managing crop production systems and greenhouse control systems.
  • Experience with greenhouse systems, crop management, greenhouse climate controls, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong project management, stakeholder management, communication, reporting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage a variable schedule around crop needs, multitask, interpret technical and safety documentation, and work cooperatively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Work is based onsite in Dallas, Texas.

  • Direct horticulture experience.
