NTT Faculty Instructors for MCB/MMLS College of Ag (Applicant Pool) (Microbiology)

Location: On-campus or online course teaching; physical on-campus duties are required for applicable courses.

hirify.global’s Office of Student Engagement is recruiting non-tenure-track faculty instructors for the Department of Microbiology & Cell Biology within the College of Agriculture/MAES.

What you will do

• Teach assigned on-campus or online courses.
• Advise, evaluate, mentor, and assist students.
• Develop curricula and courses.
• Participate in weekly faculty meetings.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on academic and program activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree combined with professional certification, in a relevant or related field.
• At least three years of substantial experience in the relevant teaching area.
• Experience working with and engaging diverse students and colleagues.
• Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and independent-working skills.
• Ability to build rapport with freshmen and use engaging pedagogy.
• This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Significant long-term professional experience and strong theoretical knowledge in the teaching discipline.
• Current professional knowledge in the teaching area and previous teaching experience.
• Knowledge of college student development.
• Commitment to student, faculty, and staff diversity.

Culture & Benefits

• Non-tenure-track faculty appointment for the academic year, with Fall or Spring semester placement.
• FTE varies, and benefits eligibility depends on FTE.
• Positions of 0.5 FTE or more are represented by AFMSU; membership dues may apply as a condition of employment.
• Positions below 0.5 FTE are not represented by the union and do not require dues.
