Application Engineer III-Java Developer (Java)

Location: Hybrid in Bangalore or Hyderabad, India; office attendance is expected at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Design and architect enterprise-scale backend solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead development of complex Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Drive technical decisions through architecture discussions, design workshops, and engineering reviews.
• Prototype and evaluate new technologies while establishing software engineering best practices.
• Coach and mentor software engineers, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and support backlog planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend software design and development.
• 8+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience designing secure, clean Java code and optimized RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Docker and/or Azure Kubernetes Service, plus CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Expertise in agile software engineering, architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular and JavaScript.
• Cloud-native application development on Azure.
• Microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and Java performance tuning.
• Software testing methodologies and collaboration with enterprise and solution architects.
