TL;DR
Senior Environmental Remediation Manager (Hydrogeology/Environmental Engineering): Leading large-scale, multi-decade remediation programs and environmental due diligence across impaired sites with an accent on fractured-bedrock site characterization, regulatory strategy, and financial stewardship. Focus on groundwater modeling with MODFLOW and EPM methods, climate-resilience planning, regulatory engagement, consultant oversight, and reducing environmental liabilities.
Location: Beckett Ridge Innovation Center; international travel may be required.
Salary: $110,000–$165,300 per year, plus bonus and benefits where applicable.

operates a corporate Health, Safety & Environment group supporting environmental compliance, remediation, and risk reduction across manufacturing operations.
What you will do
- Lead consulting teams through investigation, design, and execution of the South Boston Manufacturing Center remediation program.
- Develop scientifically robust, regulatorily defensible, and cost-effective remediation strategies for fractured-bedrock and unconsolidated media.
- Oversee groundwater modeling, contaminant fate-and-transport evaluations, and application of MODFLOW and Equivalent Porous Media methodologies.
- Manage regulatory engagement, technical correspondence, agency communications, legal coordination, and public and community communications.
- Lead targeted global remediation and environmental due diligence activities, including priority matters in Brazil and environmental regulations in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.
- Manage consultants, contractors, budgets, expenditure forecasts, environmental reserves, Asset Retirement Obligations, proposals, and procurement processes.
Requirements
- BS, MS, or PhD in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of progressively responsible environmental remediation experience.
- Leadership experience with complex investigations, feasibility studies, conceptual site models, remedial design, and remedy implementation.
- Strong knowledge of CERCLA, RCRA, CWA, CAA, UST regulations, and the Massachusetts Contingency Plan, including 310 CMR 40.0000.
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants, contractors, budgets, environmental reserves, and project finance.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; strong written, verbal, organizational, and influencing skills.
Nice to have
- International remediation and environmental due diligence experience.
- Experience with climate resilience and Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Assessments.
- Experience with AI, Digital Twins, and modeling and simulation tools for supply chain or environmental decision-making.
