History Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)

What you will do

• Teach introductory-level history courses.
• Occasionally teach upper-division courses in history or related fields.
• Adapt course assignments to semester-specific teaching needs and available funding.
• Support student success through quality teaching and effective communication.
• Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in History or a related field.
• Academic preparation appropriate for teaching in the discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills with faculty, staff, and college students.
• Good judgment, self-motivation, and commitment to quality teaching.
• This position is not eligible for new visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Terminal degree in an appropriate field.
• Previous experience teaching similar courses.

• Part-time appointments vary from a few weeks to a semester or academic year.
• Appointments are pooled and may be available in the fall or spring semester.
• FTE and benefits eligibility vary by appointment.
• Positions of 0.5 FTE or more may be represented by the Associated Faculty of hirify.global.
• Applications are retained in the hiring pool for up to two years.
