Long-Haul Implementation Project Manager (OSP Construction)

Location: Remote within the United States, preferably in the Central or Eastern Time Zones

Salary: $77,100–$118,600 USD annually

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate outside plant construction contracts in collaboration with legal teams.
• Monitor contractual compliance, evaluate change orders, issue contract notices, and manage disputes and recovery plans.
• Manage project schedules, production forecasts, budgets, capital spend, invoicing, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate contractors, stakeholders, legal teams, and customers through project execution and reporting.
• Manage regulatory and permitting matters, including NEPA, CPUC, and Tribal Lands requirements.
• Plan major materials and deliver project as-builts to support teams and inventory systems.

Requirements

• At least seven years of telecommunications industry experience, including outside plant, fiber optics, optical transport equipment, and project management.
• At least five years of contract and capital management experience, preferably in long-haul OSP or large construction projects.
• Knowledge of OSP construction methods and standards, fiber specifications, optical network design principles, contract types, and payment terms.
• Experience managing large capital projects, purchase requisitions, invoices, construction documents, and project delivery.
• Strong negotiation, communication, problem-solving, organizational, and commercial skills.
• Proficiency with Email, MS Suite, G Suite, and Google Earth.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Experience with NTIA program requirements, including Davis-Bacon, BABA, and EA.
• Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
• Experience with Site Tracker or similar project management software.
