Engineering Technician (Electromechanical Systems): Supporting the development, assembly, testing, and repair of PCBs, wire assemblies, prototypes, test fixtures, and electro-mechanical products with an accent on debugging, documentation, and transition from R&D to production. Focus on complex system-to-component troubleshooting, PCB rework, test-station development, and improving hardware-software platforms.

What you will do
- Build, diagnose, repair, assemble, bring up, test, and debug PCBs, PCBAs, wire assemblies, subassemblies, prototypes, and products.
- Provide hands-on technical support to engineering and other departments, recommending improvements to design robustness.
- Create assembly documentation, test procedures, work instructions, test results, and anomaly reports.
- Build and modify test stations, fixtures, and support equipment for development initiatives.
- Perform system-level to component-level troubleshooting on electro-mechanical devices and equipment.
- Partner with engineering, facilities, and procurement to improve in-house capabilities and source tools, equipment, supplies, and PPE.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Experience supporting R&D-to-production environments and transitioning designs to manufacturing.
- Experience fabricating and assembling mechanical prototypes, test fixtures, electro-mechanical systems, and subassemblies.
- Experience using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and current probes, as well as reading PCB schematics and wire assembly drawings.
- Experience hand-populating, reworking, and modifying first-article PCBAs according to IPC guidelines.
- Knowledge of cable harness assemblies, crimps, and crimping tools for 16β30 AWG wire; ability to document integration and testing accurately.
Nice to have
- Experience with SolidWorks, Altium, PuTTY, and AI tools.
- Machine shop experience, including basic tools, 3D printers, laser cutters, manual vertical milling, and horizontal lathes.
