Senior Staff Budget Analyst (SAP) (Federal Finance/SAP): Supporting Government Program Element Monitors through federal budget formulation, execution, funding distribution, reporting, and reconciliation with an accent on DAF/DoW PPBE processes, SAP environments, and financial regulations. Focus on analyzing process failures, developing corrective actions, tracking complex appropriations and contracts, and presenting solutions to government stakeholders.
Location: Washington, DC; onsite five days a week. Work location may change based on client requirements.
Salary: $103,000–$180,000 annual base pay, with potential bonuses and additional compensation for eligible overtime.

What you will do
- Provide funding analysis, recommendations, execution tracking, and staff support to Government Program Element Monitors.
- Support DAF/DoW PPBE activities, including budget formulation, funding estimates, POM, PBR, PB cycles, and funding distribution requests.
- Track and reconcile commitments, obligations, expenditures, program budgets, contracts, and annual or multiyear appropriations.
- Prepare Congressional, annual, monthly, specialty, and senior-leadership financial reports.
- Research business-process errors and failures, develop corrective actions, and recommend policy or process improvements.
- Document complex financial procedures, train colleagues, and communicate solutions to government stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or seven years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 10 years of experience analyzing federal finance and accounting functions, including budget formulation, justification, execution, tracking, and review.
- At least two years of experience working in SAP environments.
- Strong knowledge of budget laws, regulations, and methods, including DAF/DoW financial management requirements.
- Advanced Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel skills, plus experience analyzing business-process failures and developing integrated resolutions.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP Eligibility and U.S. citizenship are required. The role requires onsite work in Washington, DC five days per week.
