What you will do

• Host and produce a Monday–Friday live half-hour lifestyle show with the show producer.
• Research stories, arrange interviews, gather information, and determine story emphasis, length, and format.
• Write, review, and revise broadcast copy and digital stories for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and editorial standards.
• Shoot and edit video and produce and present reports for broadcast, web, and other eMedia platforms.
• Create lifestyle show content for digital and social media and interact with viewers and users online.
• Collaborate with Sales, Production, Creative Services, Engineering, producers, news managers, employees, and community members.

Requirements

• Prior broadcast hosting experience is required, along with strong field reporting and live performance abilities.
• Production and video editing experience and Adobe Creative Suite experience are required.
• Demonstrated writing, interviewing, research, organizational, creative, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to perform under extreme pressure, accept constructive direction, and make schedule adjustments.
• Understanding of the legal implications of covering news and local stories, with a commitment to responsible reporting.
• Clean driving record; a business or journalism college degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
