MSSE Instructor Non-Tenure Track Faculty (Applicant Pool)

What you will do

• Teach graduate-level MSSE courses during fall, spring, and/or summer sessions.
• Deliver online and campus-based field or lab science courses.
• Teach in disciplines including biology, chemistry, ecology, earth science, environmental science, microbiology, physics, engineering, computer science, plant science, and education.
• Develop, deliver, and assess innovative graduate-level courses.
• Engage and educate practicing K–12 science teachers in public, private, and informal learning settings.
• Work independently while building effective relationships with graduate students.

Requirements

• Doctoral or master’s degree in science, science education, engineering, agriculture, or another science education field.
• University teaching experience, K–12 teaching experience, or experience as an education coordinator or curriculum developer.
• Ability to teach successfully in a distance delivery mode.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to interdisciplinary education.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Next Generation Science Standards and guidelines for science teacher education and distance learning.
• Experience developing, delivering, and assessing graduate courses.
